Suggested Recipe

Nore Soda Bread Mix: 1000g
Buttermilk: 750g
Shortening: 45g (optional)

Suggested Method:
1. Using beater attachment on Hobart style mixer, add fat to mix and mix until blended.
2. Add buttermilk, scrape down and mix for one minute on first speed.
3. Weigh out at 450 grams each and put into greased tins (makes 4 loaves).
4. Slash each loaf lengthways and sprinkle with wholemeal.
5. Bake for thirty-five minutes at 230°C.
